Creating AI Rules for Multiple Staff Members at Once

AI Rules — Multi-Staff Batch Creation

When creating a staff-level AI rule, you can now apply the same rule to multiple staff members in one action instead of creating it one person at a time.

How to use

1. Go to AI Rules (Sidebar → Staff Management → AI Rules)
2. Click Create Rule
3. Set the rule level to Staff
4. In the staff selector, you'll see a multi-select dropdown with search
5. Search and tick the checkbox next to each staff member you want the rule to apply to
6. Use Select All to select all staff (or all filtered staff)
7. Write your rule text and configure the rule type
8. Click Create — the rule is created for all selected staff members at once

How batch rules appear

• Rules created in a batch are grouped together in the Rule Priority Visualization
• Each batch shows a "N staff" badge and can be expanded to see individual staff members
• You can edit or delete individual rules within a batch, or delete the entire batch at once

Limits

• Maximum 20 staff members per batch rule
• Each staff member gets their own rule instance (so you can edit or remove individuals later)

Tip: Use this to quickly apply a preference rule (e.g., "No consecutive night shifts") to your entire nursing team without creating 15 separate rules.
