Checking Leave Usage and History
View your leave usage over a period (Leave Ledger):
- Go to Leave Ledger (Sidebar → Leave Ledger)
- Select a time period (this month, this quarter, this year, financial year, or custom range)
- You'll see a breakdown of leave taken during that period:
- Total business days taken (based on your contracted days per week, typically Monday–Friday for a 5-day contract)
- Total hours taken (deducted from your leave balance based on contracted days)
- Breakdown by leave type (Annual, Sick, Personal, etc.)
- A timeline of each leave request
Important: The Leave Ledger tracks leave usage – how much leave you've taken in a given period. It does not show leave balances, accruals, or remaining entitlements. For leave balance and entitlement information, contact your HR department or payroll team.
Note on hours calculation: Leave hours are calculated using your contracted days per week (e.g., 5 for a Mon-Fri contract). This is the deduction basis used for pay and balances. Leave covered on calendar days (including weekends) may be visible in the Leave Calendar using a different daily rate based on your organisation's operating days.
View leave requests:
- Go to Leave Planner (Sidebar → Leave Planner)
- Your past and upcoming leave requests are listed
- Each shows the status: Pending, Approved, Rejected, or Cancelled
View on calendar:
- Go to Leave Calendar (Sidebar → Leave Calendar)
- See a visual calendar of your approved leave dates
- Color coding shows coverage impact
