Automatic Notifications for Open Shift Requests

When an open shift is filled and your request wasn't selected, you now receive an automatic notification explaining what happened.

Two scenarios

Shift filled (your request expired): If the vacancy was fully filled by other staff, you receive: "The open shift [Shift Name] on [Date] at [Stream] has been filled. Your request has expired."

Request declined (another person was selected): If the roster builder approved someone else and declined remaining requests, you receive: "Your request for [Shift Name] on [Date] at [Stream] was not approved — another request was selected."

Where to see these

  • In-app notification — appears in your notification bell
  • Email — if you have shift notifications enabled in your preferences

Tip: You no longer need to keep checking the Shift Deck to find out if your request was successful — the system tells you automatically.
