How to Post an Open Shift Swap

If you can't work a shift and don't have a specific person to swap with:

1. Go to My Shifts (Sidebar → My Shifts)
2. Find the shift you want to give up
3. Right-click the shift → select Request Swap
4. In the swap modal, select Open Swap
5. Optionally set an expiration date/time (the swap is automatically cancelled if no one takes it by then)
6. Add a message (optional) and submit

What happens next:

• Your shift appears on other staff members' Shift Deck → My Deck under "Available Swaps"
• The system automatically filters to show only eligible staff (same craft group, required scopes, not on leave)
• Interested colleagues click Take This Shift
• You can review who offered and the system sends it for roster builder approval
• A roster builder approves and the roster is updated
